Interactive Flower

A flower that physically reacts to light by changing petal position and core illumination.

Coursework and personal work from Carnegie Mellon, originally published on a separate Framer site.

Background

An object that responds to its environment

I started with the intention of creating an interactive object inspired by nature that responds to its surrounding environment. Based on the ambient light level, the angle of the petals and the color of the inner core of the flower change, creating the impression of a flower gradually blooming.
